On 4-door and 6-door models, the upper and lower compartments have separate compressors and temperature controls. You can run one side as a chiller and the other as a freezer independently.

3. Cooling Systems: Static vs. Forced-Air

Static Cooling (Direct Cool)

The evaporator is built into the cabinet walls. Cooling happens through natural convection. Lower upfront cost. Lower energy consumption. Keeps humidity higher, so produce stays fresh longer. The trade-off: frost can build up over time and periodic defrosting is needed. Uses R600a (chiller) or R290a (freezer) refrigerant. Best for budget-conscious kitchens with moderate traffic.

Forced-Air Cooling (Fan-Cooled)

6. Which One Should You Choose?

Pick a refrigerated worktable if:

Floor space is limited and every square meter needs to pull double duty. Your kitchen runs a linear workflow (receive → store → prep → cook → serve). You do 100–400 covers per shift.

Best combo for a 300-cover kitchen: One 1.8 m chiller worktable for produce and dairy + one 1.8 m freezer worktable for meat and seafood. Total floor space: about 2.5 m².

Pick a reach-in cabinet if:

You need 900–1,500 L of cold storage in a compact footprint. You already have separate prep tables. You run a central kitchen or commissary. Multiple staff need to grab ingredients at the same time.

Best setup for a central kitchen: Two 4-door cabinets (one chiller, one freezer) + one 6-door dual-temp unit. Total floor space: about 3.5 m².

7. Installation Basics

All CHINENG refrigeration units run on standard 220 V single-phase power. Power draw ranges from 115 W to 1,350 W depending on the model. A standard plug is included.

Allow at least 10 cm of clearance on the sides and 15 cm at the rear for ventilation. The floor must be level and capable of supporting 80–200 kg. Maximum ambient temperature: 38°C.

Q: What is the difference between static cooling and forced-air cooling?
