Commercial induction cookers support stir-frying, deep-frying, pan-frying, and more. Most users, however, do not know what material the internal coil uses. CHINENG gives a concise answer below.

How a commercial induction cooker works
It heats by magnetic induction. The electronic board creates a high-frequency current: 50/60 Hz AC is rectified to DC, then converted to about 20–40 kHz. That drives eddy currents in the cookware so the pan heats itself and cooks the food.
What coil materials are used?
Commercial coils may use aluminum, copper-clad aluminum, brass, or pure copper. CHINENG commercial induction cookers use the highest-purity copper. The pan and coil form a high-frequency transformer: the coil is the primary, the pan the secondary. Alternating voltage in the coil induces current in the pan, which heats through its own resistance—so the pan is the load. Therefore the coil wire is pure copper.
Advantages of copper coil wire
1. Excellent conductivity: widely used for wires, cables, and brushes.
2. Excellent thermal conductivity: also used where magnetic interference must be avoided.
3. Excellent plasticity: easy to form into tube, rod, wire, strip, plate, and foil.
Basic coil construction
1. An engineering-plastic disc frame about 8 mm thick and 190 mm in diameter holds ferrite strips in radial slots.
2. The heating coil is wound single-layer counterclockwise from inside to outside on the disc face and fixed with insulating varnish to prevent leakage.
In short, CHINENG induction coils use pure copper wire, which outperforms aluminum in conductivity, tensile strength, and electrical loss. Contact CHINENG online support for value-optimized kitchen engineering and equipment packages.
