Kitchens install fume purifiers to keep grease off walls and ease later cleaning. How should purifier filters be cleaned? CHINENG explains below.

How to clean a fume purifier
Note: hire professionals—filter assemblies are complex and easy to damage. Weekly cleaning is recommended.
1. Purifiers are built around filter cells. Remove filters for cleaning; non-specialists must not dismantle live equipment.
2. Cell count and size vary by model—some units have about 20 plates—so pricing differs, but the wash process is similar.
3. Heavy grease drips easily. Wrap cells before moving them, then unwrap in a large wash container to protect floors.
4. Soak filters in about 100°C water with professional degreaser tablets for 30 minutes to 2 hours depending on soil. Manually thin stubborn grease before soaking if needed.
5. After soaking, rinse with a high-pressure washer.
6. Also clean grease from the cabinet interior—this can run in parallel with soaking.
Correct daily use
1. Start the purifier before lighting ranges so airflow is established.
2. During frying, avoid drawing sparks into the unit.
3. When opening pressure-cooker safety valves, switch the purifier off briefly to avoid spraying contents inside.
4. Do not put hands near inlets to test airflow while running.
5. When idle, cut power and unplug to protect service life.
A good purifier removes grease, odor, and duct particles for healthier kitchens and dining rooms. Choose CHINENG when you need fume purification equipment.
