A commercial gas wok range is the heart of any Chinese or wok-based kitchen. The flame must be instant, intense, and controllable. CHINENG offers two distinct series: the Chain Edition for multi-location brands that need consistency and durability, and the Startup Edition for independent restaurants that need reliable firepower at a competitive price. Both series include flameout protection as standard equipment.

All Chain Edition models include a 1.8 m power cable as standard. A low-pressure regulator (sold separately) is required for LPG models.

3. Startup Edition (8138JJ) — 35 kW

Five models, natural gas only. Higher 35 kW output per burner — ideal for rapid wok cooking. Carton packaging for cost-efficient shipping. 250 mm backrest height.

4. LPG vs. Natural Gas: Which Fuel

Your fuel type is determined by your building's gas supply — not by preference. CHINENG provides dedicated models for each:

· LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas): Delivered in cylinders. Requires a 1.2 L low-pressure regulator. Never use a medium-pressure regulator — this is the most common cause of gas accidents in commercial kitchens. Chain Edition only.

· NG (Natural Gas): Piped municipal supply. Available in both Chain Edition (26 kW) and Startup Edition (35 kW). No regulator required beyond the building's main supply.

5. Choosing the Right Size

· Single head, no tail (0.6 m): Compact kitchens, single-chef operations, street food stalls. One wok burner, minimal footprint.

· Single head + tail (0.88 m): Small restaurants. One burner with a prep surface on the side. The tail provides space for seasoning and plating.

· Dual head + single tail (1.3–1.5 m): Mid-size restaurants and canteens. Two burners for simultaneous cooking plus a shared prep area. The most common configuration.

· Dual head + dual tail (1.5–1.8 m): High-volume kitchens. Two burners with full prep space on both sides. For restaurants where the wok station is the main production line.

6. Installation & Safety

· Gas connection: For LPG models, the 1.2 L low-pressure regulator is mandatory and sold separately. An explosion-proof gas hose is recommended. Always perform a leak test after installation.

· Electrical: All models require 220 V / 50 Hz for the 120 W forced-air burner fan. A standard 10 A grounded outlet is sufficient.

· Ventilation: Install under a commercial exhaust hood rated for gas combustion. The 275 mm backrest on Chain Edition models is designed to align with standard hood configurations.

· Flameout protection: All CHINENG gas wok ranges include thermocouple-based flameout protection. If the flame is extinguished — for example, by a boil-over — the gas supply is automatically cut within seconds.

7. FAQ

Q: Can I convert an LPG model to natural gas, or vice versa?

No. The burner orifices and gas train are calibrated for a specific fuel type and pressure. Attempting conversion creates a serious safety hazard. Order the correct fuel type from the start. LPG models are Chain Edition only; NG models are available in both series.

Q: What is the difference between 26 kW and 35 kW in practice?

26 kW (Chain Edition) is suitable for most commercial wok cooking — enough heat for 30–40 covers per hour per burner. 35 kW (Startup Edition) delivers faster heat-up and is preferred for high-intensity stir-fry where wok hei (the breath of the wok) is critical.

Q: Do these come with a wok?

No. The gas wok range is the cooking appliance only. Woks, gas hoses, and low-pressure regulators are purchased separately.

Q: Can these be exported?

Yes. Standard configuration is 220 V / 50 Hz. A 110 V converter (CN-8138-PJ003) is available for markets with 110 V power. Confirm your local gas supply type and pressure before ordering.
