A commercial kitchen project is rigorous work. Cuisine, fit-out style, and customization all affect the workflow. What does the design process include?

Stages of commercial kitchen engineering design
Stage 1: Design the kitchen to the client’s needs
Understand the operating plan, technical requirements, equipment list, seat count, equipment grade, and special requests.
(1) Visit the site, match equipment, and draft workflow and room divisions.
(2) When preliminary zoning conflicts with reality, align with owners and kitchen staff before detailing the layout.
(3) Refine room and equipment layout until fume cleaning, fire protection, and fresh-air systems can pass review.
(4) Submit the scheme for internal review, then present it to owners and kitchen staff—especially key details—and collect feedback.
Stage 2: Quotation and contract
After the contract, develop process flows and equipment lists for each room to local hygiene and environmental rules, with energy-saving design. Specify smarter equipment to cut labor dependence, organize space and stations for smooth production, and raise efficiency.
Stage 3: Fabrication, installation, and commissioning
Manufacture to the approved scheme, prepare energy-efficient installation from the drawings, and support civil and MEP site work. After completion, inspect quality and commission all equipment.
Stage 4: Training and after-sales service
Train operators on product knowledge and safe use so the client can run the kitchen confidently.
Early survey, communication with owners, chefs, and authorities, and post-design revision all depend on careful design work at every step.
