A smokeless barbecue grill keeps charcoal-style flavor while staying cleaner and healthier. How should it be cleaned and maintained? CHINENG shares the methods below.

Cleaning and maintenance methods
1. Switch off power before cleaning to prevent accidents. Clean regularly so grease does not accumulate and ignite near open flame.
2. Food debris builds up on the cooking plate; keep the surface clear so openings are not blocked.
3. Remove and wash the grease tray; wipe the cabinet with a damp cloth.
4. Do not hose the burners directly—that shortens their life.
5. Clean the purifier about once a month, or sooner if cleaning performance drops because cells are loaded with grease.
6. Purifier cleaning: note wire positions and colors, remove the thumb screws, soak in a degreaser such as an alkaline cleaner, rinse with clean water, dry fully, refit in the original positions, and test before cooking.
7. The purifier must be completely dry before reinstallation. Handle aluminum plates gently so they are not bent.
8. An oil tray sits under the purifier; check and empty it regularly, then refit.
