Is induction radiation harmful to people?

Not all radiation is harmful. Phones and computers often dominate daily exposure; induction fields are typically lower than phone use.

Qualified induction units pass national radiation safety tests before sale. Metal housings and shielding further isolate fields, so normal use—including by pregnant users—is considered safe under standards.

When cookware lifts about 3–5 cm off the panel, it leaves the closed magnetic field and heating stops automatically. Pans under about 8 cm diameter also will not heat. Horizontal fields outside the closed zone are very weak.

The working field is mainly under the pan base—a closed magnetic loop your body does not contact—so everyday use is fine.
